OCTOBER BLOG
Hello everyone, it’s October! So we have a very special treat for you…a BRAND NEW BLOG! None of these words have ever been used in previous blogs before! A blog of 100% new content! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So apparently there’s going to be new episodes of Arrested Development and a movie. That’s probably the most exciting thing anyone can hear this month. Regardless, this blog shall go on for at least one or two more paragraphs! So we’re back on the road in a few days and we’re very excited! The tour is being billed as Codes in the Clouds vs Rival Consoles. Our aim is to take both ourselves and Rival Consoles out of our comfort zones when it comes to writing music and collaborating together whilst on the road, writing in the tour bus, wherever we find ourselves sleeping, during soundcheck, basically whenever we can. At some point during the show, along side both our normal sets, we’ll play whatever we’ve come up with…it could be great, it could be a disaster! We’ll soon find out! We also have some new material of our own to play at the upcoming shows! It’s our first EU tour as a 6-piece, we can’t wait for everyone to hear the new songs and give our new member a nice warm welcome. The Codes in the Clouds vs Rival Consoles tour looks like this: 10th - Nijmegen, Netherlands - Meryln11th - Gent, Belgium - Charlatan12th - Hamburg, Germany - Prinzenbar13th - Copenhagen, Denmark - PH-Caféen14th - Berlin, Germany - Comet16th - Warsaw, Poland - Progresja17th - Łódź, Poland - Luka18th - Poznań, Poland - Fabrika19th - Nürnberg, Germany - MUZ21st - Innsbruck, Austria - PMK22nd - Offenbach, Germany - HafenSee you on the road! Here it is! It’s what you’ve all been waiting for*! The August edition of the AWARD WINNING** blog from Codes In The Clouds!
First off, thanks to all who came along to our night at The Macbeth in London the other week, it was a fun night and both Black Market Karma and Rival Consoles were great! That night was also the first time we have played as a 6 piece, the wonderfully talented Oliver Glosby is the 6th Code and he’s a swell guy. If you see him in the street be sure to give him a big kiss.
So we’re flying back out to Germany tomorrow for Haldern Pop 2011 and we’re very excited! If you’re going to be there this year be sure to come and say hey! To get festival goers in the mood, check out this free playlist from Erased Tapes which includes 2 of our songs as well as Rival Consoles, Nils Frahm and Anne Muller. http://soundcloud.com/erasedtapes/sets/haldern-pop-festival-2011/
There are other things I could mention but I think I’d just be repeating myself from the last blog. However, for those who are interested, Slipknot didn’t get in touch regarding any sort of beef with us, so I think we can now safely assume that we’re on good terms and can resume our relationship with them as normal.
Much lovex
